SPRING DAY IN EUROPE - Deň jari v Európe
Teleprojekt Infoveku
We are teachers and students from Secondary Industrial School from Bardejov in the Eastern Slovakia. This year we have decided to participate in a project called "SPRING DAY IN EUROPE" because we are interested in idea of peaceful life in European countries and all the world. Nowadays peace is in a big danger and therefore we would like to support this idea by some of our students participating in these project activities:
- Our students have prepared some interesting materials for a noticeboard. The topic is the European Union
- They have also taken some nice photographs of the historical centre of Bardejov town.
- Three of our female - students (Marianna Železná, Zuzana Maňková a Zuzana Adamuvová) have sung and also recorded the anthem of the European Union in Slovak language.
- Our student Mikuláš Jančuš has written an essay about "What joins us and what separates us".
- " 23 March 2004 was a day when we broadcasted the Peace Bell sound in all the classrooms af our school to evoke the idea of peaceful life. The Peace Bell sounded three times at 10:00 a.m. Then there was silence which took one minute time.
We have also created a web site presenting our school activities for "SPRING DAY IN EUROPE" which has appeared on the our school site.
